RIWAAZ- India Ka Andaz
JIMMC welcomed the illuminating season of festivities with a Cultural
Event ‘RIWAAZ- India Ka Andaz’. The event was organised by APR specialisation students. All the activity clubs of JIMMC participated in the event and presented their respective cultural programmes. The day commenced with a lecture by Mr. Ajay Upadhyay, the former director of JIMMC. 'Ummeed' - poetry book by a JIMMC Diploma student, Hansraj.He shared his valuable views on ‘Quantum Journalism’. He was our chief guest for the day. He launched showcasing two short movies (with social messages) presented by JIMMC's film club. A selfie competition followed, where there was an audio visual display of photographs by students in traditional attire. Further, different clubs presented dance, drama and musical performances representing the cultural diversity of India. The event wrapped up with a surprise ramp walk by the students and faculty members in their traditional avatars.
Documentary/ Film Screening
Cinema is the reflection of society hence every now and then we try and introduce students to quality cinema, documentaries and short films
from across the world. It also serves as a learning experience as the screening process takes place under the supervision and guidance of faculty members and industry experts who provide valuable insights about different aspects of film making.
Fashion Point
Apart from academic events, JIMMC students have been regularly taking part in events organized with focus on extracurricular activity. This helps in all-round development of students.
Freshers’ Party
Every year JIMMC’s second and final year students organize Fresher’s party to welcome the new batch students. The newly enrolled students are provided a platform to showcase their talent. It also gives an opportunity to the students to have an informal interaction with senior students. The event concludes with senior students presenting tittles like Mr. Fresher, Ms. Fresher etc to first year students.
Students’ Day
On the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam i.e. October 15, World Students Day is celebrated. During the latter years of his life, Dr. Kalam especially focused on inspiring young minds of this country. He was a beloved teacher, a renowned scientist, inspirational author and policy maker. This day provides a platform for students the much
needed break from the rigorous academic schedule and an opportunity to hone their extra-circular skills.
Annual Day
Every year students wait eagerly for the Annual day, it is a day when students get a chance to highlight and display their talent be it in the field of dance, music, street play, debate or other extra co-curricular activities
Book Launch
September 15, 2018: Awakening Ganesha (conquering our inner demons student against jealously and enviousness), a book by former JIMMC Anurag Singh Bohra was launched by revered scholar Dr.
Anand Kumar, former professor, JNU. It is published by Authors Pride Publishers Private Limited (APP)
JIMMC Cricket League
JCL was a cricket tournament organized by JIMMC. The CEO of the Jagran Education Foundation J.N. Gupta graced the occasion with his presence and the program was addressed by N.R. Mohanty- Director,
JIMMC NOIDA and Rajesh Aggarwal the Vice Principal of Jagran Public School. It was the very first sports event organized by JIMMC. Four teams from Jagran Public Schhol, Galgotia’s University, JIMMC and Alumni of JIMMC participated in the event. Galgotia’s University’s team won the game and received a trophy and certificate
Alfreso- An Outdoor Excursion
In an effort to ease out academic pressure and stress an outdoor excursion to DEVA farms was organized. Students took part in activities like Ziplining, zorbing, balance beam along with rain dance, mud bath etc
Teachers’ Day
To commemorate and celebrate the birth anniversary of second President of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, September 5th is celebrated as Teachers’ Day. On this day students organize cultural programmes, games, quiz and title giving ceremony for teaching faculty members.
